EAA Chapter 1379 was founded in 2003 at Haller Air Park, located six miles south of Green Cove Springs, FL. We meet at 10:00 am the second Saturday of each month at 5323 Air Park Loop W., which is known as “NAS Haller.” Located half way down the runway on the west side, you can't miss the grey hanger with the orange “Ready Room” door.
Haller Air Park is a private community and as an EAA chapter, we work to be good stewards our relationship with residents. Members and guests are welcome to drive or fly in to an EAA event.
The 18/36 sod runway at Haller is 2,600' long, with overruns on both the north and south ends. The paved crossing roads on each end mark the ends of each runway. Left traffic is used for both landing directions and the UNICOM frequency is 122.9. Use of the runway is at your own risk. Caution: Deer on airport and ditches on either side of the runway.
A high percentage of the aircraft at Haller are experimental, and we have a variety of talent at the field and in our chapter. Our EAA chapter is low key but has been actively growing over the years, now averaging over 60 members from the local area. We embrace all projects and experimental flight, and are active in the Young Eagle program.
